Wolves are highly skilled predators who can easy take down a human. For that reason, words like “aggressive” and “dangerous” are often thrown around for the animals.
At the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, the wolves are a lot different.
Along with howling and hunting, the animals give kisses and lovingly play with their caretakers.
A giant wolf named Kekoa is especially playful. Despite Kekoa’s enormous size, the wolf has an exceptionally gentle personality.
Danielle is Kekoa’s favorite person in the world. Danielle is the most veteran caretaker at the facility and has made friends with all of the wolves at the sanctuary.
When Danielle sits down next to Kekoa in the snow we can see just how giant and gentle the wolf really is.
Watch until 1:01 and you’ll see just how much like a giant puppy dog Kekoa really is.
The center’s mission is to “Educate the public about the importance of Wolves, Coyotes, and Foxes to our eco-system, and Preservation and Conservation of the forests, land, and water that supports wildlife, flora, and fauna for future generations to enjoy.”
