Running a half marathon is no easy task, after more than 13 miles of constant movement your body can start to feel incredibly weak and there’s even a chance you’ll end before the race is completed. That’s what nearly happened this past weekend to a runner in Philadelphia.
With the finish line in sight, a young woman’s legs started to buckle and she quickly collapsed to the pavement.
A fellow racer watched the incident occur and slowed his gait to catch the woman before she hit the ground.
A second man ran up behind moments later to help spirit the woman over the finish line before her body gave out completely.
25 feet from the finish line, the young woman couldn’t run any further and a third stranger scooped her up and carried her to the finish line.
Just before they crossed the line the man set her down so she could take the last few steps on her own.
