Long distance relationships can be hard. Luckily with technology nowadays there are an increasing number of ways to stay connected to your loved ones and still feel like you’re together.
Seal couple Sija and Babyface who once lived happily together at a seal sanctuary in England, were forced apart and hadn’t seen each other in a while.
Prior to the two’s separation, and despite discouraged breeding practices, Sija and Babyface were able to overcome odds and sire two adorable seal pups.
Once the pups were born, their caretakers at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary decided it was best to separate Sija and Babyface to prevent another pregnancy.
After an entire summer of being separated, their caretakers thought of a creative way for Sija and Babyface to stay in touch with each other.
Using iPads, both Sija and Babyface shared a FaceTime chat with each other in a beautiful reunion of mother and father.
At first they were a bit hesitant, as anybody would be seeing another thing staring back at you through a small glass screen.
But after a while Sija and Babyface began nuzzling their noses to the screen as they recognized who was staring back at them from the other side.
