A giant snowfall isn’t enough to derail this train. Winter 2015 has been pretty harsh for much of the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada, but supplies still need to be delivered and that means trains need to run on time.
Thankfully, trains that carry cargo are designed to handle an onslaught of snow.
YouTube user containerman2 captured this amazing “train plow” on February 3.
Watch as the red engine barrels towards two huge snowbanks on each side of the tracks. The train doesn’t slow at all as it approaches the giant piles of snow and then it sends white powder flying through the air.
So much snow is tossed around that the video camera capturing the event from a nearby car is completely covered for a short period of time.
The video was filmed in Salisbury, New Brunswick. Having lived half my life in Canada, I can attest to the fact that Canadians are not afraid of a little snow or even giant piles of the stuff for that matter.
The video has received more than 300,000 views.
