Goats have also been used as live-game food at Primorsky Safari Park’s Siberian tiger’s cage. The practice of throwing in live animals for at least one tiger has now come to an end.
For a while, the Siberian Tiger named Amur quickly pounced on his prey. Then he met his match.
A friendly goat was thrown into the cage but rather than running in fear, the animal stood its ground. Rather than showing the brave goat his deadly claws, Amur rewarded him with — friendship.
Zoo workers have attempted to remove the goat but Amur has hissed at them. Apparently they have developed a very strong bond.
Amur has also become a raw meet animal, refusing to eat live animals after forming a bond with his new goat friend.
