Damien Escobar, also known as Dame Esco, is an American violinist and composer.
He grew up in Queens, New York City and started playing the violin at 8-years-old. By the age of 10 he was accepted into the incredibly prestigious Julliard School of Music.
Quickly named a prodigy by the music community, he would go on to play on street corners and in subways around the city.
In 2006, he had a big break when he was asked to take a role in the movie “Step Up.”
Since that time Damien has released a few celebrated songs of his own, while continuing to push the violin to its absolute limits.
In this video Damien takes a hip-hop beat and weaves it perfectly with his amazing violin skills.
It’s an emotion track, an emotional instrumental addition and he makes it look easy.
