This Artist Paints Pop Culture Characters Into Old Thrift Shop Paintings

Artist David Irvine takes what some people might consider to be boring thrift shop paintings, and turns them into something completely different and epic.

The paintings, posted to his ‘Gnarled Branch’ website, are known as “re-directed paintings.” The paintings are given that name because Irvine re-directs their focus by placing new artwork into each painting.
