If you've ever worked in the service industry, you know how annoying it can be when customers don't tip. Also, if you've ever worked in customer service you're probably really good at leaving generous tips for your servers. Obviously, the people responsible for these tips have never had to work in a restaurant or other establishment where employees rely on tips.
Keep reading to see some of the most infuriating customer interactions on the internet.
Not Very Nice
Even if your waiter is being particularly slow or they forget something that you ordered, that doesn't give you the right to be rude to them.
Maybe they were having an off day.
Safety First
I don't know if this waiter was actually running with scissors or if this customer just wanted to give them a tip that wasn't a monetary tip.
Either way, tip your waiters and don't run with scissors.
A Rude Message
I don't care how much you make, nobody's time is worth more than anybody else's.
Also, if this person makes a lot of money, that means they should be able to tip.
You Can't Win
Sometimes people just say things because they're trying to be nice. Should people stop saying "bless you" after you sneeze, too?
That was a pretty big bill. What did they order that was over $200?
What Does That Mean?
Excuse me, but being a waiter is a real job. Somebody has to bring you your food after you order it.
Does this person think that waiters shouldn't exist anymore?
That's Not A Tip
I'm sorry, but "Trump 2020" isn't a tip. I don't care where your politics lie, you should still tip your waiters. These people depend on tips to survive.
It's not a perfect system, but it's what we have to work with.
I'd Rather Just Have A Tip
This seems nice and all, but I highly doubt that anybody is going to make any money through this endeavor.
I'm sure that this server would have preferred an actual tip.
A Messy Situation
Not tipping is one thing, but destroying your whole bill with ketchup is another thing entirely.
Now this whole bill is invalid, so this person basically didn't pay for their meal at all.
That's Not How It Works
If this waiter had let a kid who was under 21 order drinks, he could have lost his job.
He has to follow the rules. He can't make exceptions— especially for rude people.
Playing With His Head
This guy came up with a rude game where he puts five one-dollar bills on the table.
Every time his waiter does something that he doesn't like, he takes one away.
That's Not An Excuse
This person tried to use her kids as an excuse to avoid paying a tip, but she seemed to have enough money to pay $138.45 dollars for her meal.
That seems like a lot.
Support The Troops
This army veteran was really upset that he wasn't able to get a discount at this sports bar.
So, he decided to leave an angry note on his bill instead of a tip.
That's Not A TIp
Instead of leaving an actual monetary tip, this person decided to leave another kind of tip all over this napkin.
Even if this person thinks they're being helpful, I can assure you that this is not helpful.
Another Veteran
I'm sure that for the most part, veterans are very kind and generous people.
We just happen to have two on our list who don't know how to tip their servers.
Wanna Play A Game?
This person actually did tip their waiter, but they left the tip in an overturned glass full of water surrounded by a mess of ketchup.
That wasn't a very nice thing to do.
That Postscript Wasn't Necessary
Look, if you actually don't have enough money for a tip then that's fine. Stay at home.
And you don't need to go out of your way to comment on someone else's body.
That's Not Even A Whole Dollar
This person left half of a one-dollar bill as a tip. That little "thank you" is the icing on the cake.
I'm sure nobody was thankful for this rude gesture.
He Posted This On Instagram
Former child actor Kyle Massey (who played Corey on That's So Raven) didn't leave a tip at a restaurant, then took a picture of his bill and posted it on his own Instagram account.
Dude, this really isn't something to brag about.
Not As Nice As It Looks
At first glance it looks like this person left a generous tip under a ketchup bottle, but this $20 dollar bill isn't actually a bill at all.
This is just plain mean.
What Would Jesus Do?
Look, if you're really all about Jesus Christ, you should do what Jesus would do.
I'm pretty sure that Jesus would always tip his servers (if they had servers back then).
That's Not A $20 Bill
This person initially put the five-dollar bill on top of the Trump money, so this server got really excited when they thought they were being tipped $25 dollars.
Then they moved the five-dollar bill...
Why Though?
When somebody spends over $70 at your establishment, you probably expect them to tip. That's just the appropriate thing to do in our society.
This is unacceptable. Tip your waiters!
Rude And Racist
Not only is this person racist, but they kept trying to give the underage girl at their table glasses of alcoholic beverages.
That's just not okay. Of course, these people didn't leave a tip.
You Should Still Tip
Even if you can't afford to tip the whole 15-20 percent, you should still tip something.
You can probably spare a dollar tip if you can afford to go out for a meal.
All For A Lemon
Apparently, this person really likes to have lemon slices in their drinks.
They like it so much that if they don't get their lemon, they refuse to tip. That's just not reasonable.
Masks Are Kind Of Necessary
What is it with people having a problem with masks?
They literally just exist to keep you safe while there's a very contagious bug going around. This is so annoying.
People Who Work In The Service Industry Share Their Stories About Tough Customers
This man wanted a soda, and he wanted it right now.
He didn't care that the machine had a natural and perfectly acceptable flow rate. He wants what he wants.
An Act Of Theft
Well, that's the last time anybody at that shop is going to do anything nice from this woman.
She should have just taken her burger and ran. Who has time to write a formal complaint, anyway?
A Rude Question
Hey, everybody reading this: Never ever ever ask a woman if she's pregnant. Even if she looks like she's about to give birth, you keep your mouth shut.
Do not even imply that she's pregnant unless she tells you she is.
Throwing Chairs
We thought people only threw chairs across the room in overdramatic soap operas.
Clearly, this lady has been watching way too many overdramatic soap operas. She could have hurt somebody.
Never Work With Children
They say you should never work with children or animals, but what they should really say is that you should never work with parents.
Maybe this parent should tell his kid to stop kicking people in the face.
She Was Having A Bad Day
There's no other explanation for this outburst other than this professor was having a really bad day.
She may have been screaming about the paper, but internally, it was about something else.
Angel Hair Pasta
The difference between angel hair and spaghetti is so slight that even if I had been served spaghetti instead of angel hair, I would just eat it without complaining.
Does it really matter?
All Over A Caramel Latte
Do people flip tables in real life? Well, this woman did. And she did it over a caramel latte.
We get that caramel lattes are good, but are they really worth flipping tables over?
Going To The Gays
I don't know about her reasoning, but she was probably better off having water anyway. There's too much sugar in Pepsi.
We're glad that justice was served in the end here.
Why She Didn't Like Her Peanut Butter Shake
This woman made this poor barista make her a peanut butter shake several times before telling her that she didn't like peanut butter?
Was she even aware of what she ordered?
Not A Chair
What's worse than a customer throwing a chair? How about a customer insisting that you ARE a chair.
This is another level of insulting. What is this world coming to?
A Purple Cover
You'd be surprised how often people do this. It also happens at bookstores.
People will come in knowing nothing about the book other than the color of the front cover.
The Magnificent Magic Mike
Clearly, Magic Mike wasn't what this grandmother thought it was.
If she had known that it starred Channing Tatum as a male stripper, she would never have taken her grandchildren to see it.
We Need To See The Computer
How did this customer expect a technician to fix their computer if they didn't have the computer with them? Were they supposed to fix it by magic? Were they just supposed to guess?
