Forget pieces of paper inside your fortune cookies. A Japanese company is now stuffing them with adorable little cat figurines.
Each kitty is hand-painted and they are approximately the size of a nickel. They are made out of wood which means they are mini-collectibles in their own right.
In Japanese culture, cats are a symbol of good fortune.
Felissimo is selling packages of two (plus a bag of karinto, which is a sweet treat) for ¥ 2,200, or about $18.
They are not cheap, but it’s still better than a fortune cookie that never seems to actually give you any kind of warning about your future.
