Teen Donates Homecoming Dresses
Texas teen Ashley Reel hosted a homecoming dress drive to donate dresses to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Determined to keep students from missing their homecoming because of the storm, she collected more than 2,000 dresses in just a few short weeks from donors all over the country and as far away as Germany. “It wasn’t really fair for them to not be able to go to homecoming because of the flooding down here, so I thought it would be something nice to do for them,” Ashley told ABC News. “Some people lost everything so I thought giving them a dress would help them through it.”
