Homeless Man Is Rewarded For His Kindness
Homeless man Johnny Bobbitt Jr. helped a young NJ woman, Kate McClure, when she ran out of gas driving on Philadelphia highway I-95. Johnny told her to hold tight and that he would use his last $20 to buy her some gas. Overwhelmed by his generosity Kate knew she needed to do something to help, other than paying him back and donating small amounts of clothing and food to him. She set up a GoFundMe page explaining their relationship and within a few short weeks raised over $280,000 to give Johnny a better life. Kate now manages the funds to keep Johnny clean and off the streets. She’s rented him an apartment and gives him monthly stipends for food, clothing and fun all while helping him job hunt.
