Volunteers Transformed A Train Station
Volunteers transformed London’s fifth busiest rail station, Euston station, into a homeless shelter for Christmas. People in need could head into the station to get warm, eat a nice four-course Christmas dinner consisting of smoked salmon, roast, Christmas pudding and mince pies. Railway works and volunteers worked through the night on Christmas Eve to prepare and all day Christmas serving their community members in need. Two hundred Local school children even wrote and colored Christmas cards for guests. Guests were also provided with new sleeping bags and other goodies to help them through the winter and start their new year off right.
