Holi powder is a colorful powder that was originally used during a Hindu religious festival, where participants use the powders to play fight and thus cover one another in colored powder. The powders have since been co-opted and used for various events like the Color Run or even gender reveals. You can actually make the powder on your own and there are various DIY instructions floating across the Internet. Needless to say, this is an absolutely beautiful and fun way to announce your baby’s gender and, of course, get some epic photos!
