Puppy mills are some of the worst places on earth. In these mills, dogs are left in cases their entire lives and used solely for the purpose of breeding. The breeding dogs are often undernourished and suffering from various psychological issues.
In one raid, rescuers found a chihuahua in a cage that hadn’t been opened in so long that it was actually rusted shut.
The dog’s name is Billy and he had spent his entire life in the puppy mill, probably in the same rusted out cage where he was discovered.
The rust was so bad, it made it nearly impossible to open the door.
Sadly, a huge portion of Billy’s lower jaw was missing and he was rated a 1 on the condition scale (out of 10).
