Until the early 2000’s the best way to find information was to pour over dozens of encyclopedias. If you wanted something about Bananas you had to find the book that contained “B” information, if you wanted to learn about the Washington Monument you pulled out the “W” book.
Following the mass adoption of the internet and then smartphones, encyclopedias and the $1,000 price tags that often accompanied them quickly disappeared. With the ability to Google anything we want to learn about, teens these days grew up in a world devoid of the literary helpers.
So how do teens react when they see encyclopedias for the first time? The team at Fine Brothers Entertainment gathered several teenagers in a room and asked them to check out the educational books for the first time.
This kids first look pretty much sums up the experiment.
