17-year-old Franze Böhm was walking through a park on Christmas Eve when he heard the screams of a man in distress. Rather than turning and running in the opposite direction, the young man from Berlin, Germany, ran towards the man’s desperate cries.
Böhm followed the screams to a secluded area of the park where he discovered three men, all brandishing knives and surrounding a man in a menacing way.
Böhm jumped into action and let loose a yell of his own. That scream startled the men and gave their potential victim a chance to run away.
The men realized they had lost the chance to attack their original victim and instead chased after Böhm. It was a decision that would prove painful for the men. It turns out the young man is a student of the Israeli defensive martial art, Krav Maga.
The men attempted to attack the young man with their knives but he punched them in the face with his fist. The attackers, realizing they had chosen the wrong second victim, soon fled the park.
Both potential victims were safe and the robbers were left fleeing for their own lives.
Good job young man.
