There’s a reason Kelly Clarkson won American Idol. The girl is a powerhouse of talent. In 2016, she appeared on the show that made her famous for an emotional performance of “Piece by Piece.” Clarkson ended up letting her pregnancy emotions get the best of her and wept on air (subsequently, so did the rest of us).
“I’m pregnant, it’s nostalgic, I can’t believe it’s the last season,” she said. “I’m really sorry, I just bawled. I’m actually quite proud that I made it that far. It’s just a touching song because I wrote it about my little girl when I was pregnant and now I’m pregnant with my little boy.”
The song later went on to land the singer a Grammy nomination.
