Grayson’s Grace

In 2015, Grayson was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hodgkin’s lymphoma affects both adults and children. It is a cancer that starts in the lymphocytes, or white blood cells, which regulate the body’s immune system. This cancer has a relatively high survival rate, especially if treated early. After being diagnosed, Grayson began a rigorous form of treatment that included both chemotherapy and radiation. Grayson achieved remission for 11 months.
Sadly, as is common with cancer at times, Grayson relapsed in July of 2016. He again had to face chemo, a stem cell transplant, along with more radiation. Although a tough battle, Grayson has persevered, and doctors are currently monitoring him closely. He has still felt well enough to enjoy one of his favorite pastimes… baseball!
