Gabriella’s Gift Of Life

When Gabriella was a 5-year-old girl she already enjoyed the game of golf. However, soon she began exhibiting some strange symptoms that concerned her parents. Primarily, she complained about her eyes. She also began experiencing vision problems and was later diagnosed with an optic nerve glioma.
Gabriella then had to endure multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and proton therapy (a more concentrated form of radiation treatments). While Gabriella did, unfortunately, lose sight in one of her eyes and also suffered from related balance and depth-perception issues, she never lost sight of the things she loved. Gabriella is now in remission and still enjoys golfing and musicals. She also serves as an ambassador for Kids Beating Cancer.
From beating cancer to graduating from Harvard, this next guy has overcome all obstacles!
