This Sloth Bear Wandered Into A Family’s Home And Adopted Them

A Sloth Bear recently befriended a human family in Lakhapada village in India. While he was never domesticated, the sloth bear chose to bond with the family and become more than a pet, he was a member of the family.

The story, shared by a Reddit user, documents a unique relationship. Sloth Bears, while adorable in their own right, can be very aggressive and downright deadly.

This adorable guy followed the family’s heard of goats to their home. After he discovered the family they formed an immediate bond.

Unfortunately the sloth bear is an endangered species, for that reason national forest department officials had to place him back into his rapidly disappearing natural habitat.

The family in the meantime has given him a name, Buddu.
