Jay Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation Is Dedicated To Educating The Less Fortunate

Jay Z and Beyoncé don’t just stop ad advocating against police brutality. Like his wife, Jay Z has his own foundation where he helps provide scholarship opportunities to disadvantaged youth and communities. Since its inception, the charity has paid out nearly one million in scholarships, counseling, college visits, and study abroads.
Jay Z also got a little more personal with his scholarships when he created a college trust fund for Sean Bell’s children in 2008. Jay set up the trust after three NYC police officers were acquitted in the death of Bell, who was fatally shot the day of his wedding. He was unarmed.
