I Choose You!
What happens when two lovers of nerd culture get together? Why, there’s a Pokémon themed engagement — of course! Brett Graham proposed to his boyfriend Max by using custom-made Pokéballs to create his proposal. In order to mirror the real-life game, Brett created three Pokéballs complete with three different terrains: fire, water, and grass. He also designed a themed ring to go along with each of the three Pokéballs. One of the balls included a grass landscape with wood ring, a fire landscape with a black ring with a red gemstone, and a water landscape with a mother of pearl ring. Brett said, “It took me a while to figure out the right way to propose to Max, but I’m pretty damned proud of what I came up with. Of course, Max said yes and chose the fire landscape as his own special ring.
