Her Very Own Mr. Darcy
This one is for all of the literature fans out there. Bethany Albert is a huge Pride and Prejudice fan so it’s no wonder her new fiancé David Slater crafted their proposal after the beloved piece of literature. Bethany went home to Tacoma, Washington to visit her family for the Christmas season. When she walked in the door, her entire family got in on the reenactment action. One of her sisters proclaimed that “Mr. Bingley had returned to Netherfield at last” and another sister quickly took her to change into a Regency dress which had been sewn by her mother. David hid in a closet dressed as none other than Mr. Darcy. David had scripted the entire spectacle directly from the novel and even secretly got her family to rehearse. Bethany was (of course) Lizzie, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Bennett. David had been attempting to win Bethany’s heart for five years and gave her a literature-related gift each Christmas. The two dated for ten months when Bethany finally accepted his proposal. It’s obvious David is absolutely devoted to his Lizzie.
