Gorilla + Giraffe = Love
This proposal is probably the most awwww-worthy on the list. Paul Phillips figured out a picture (book) perfect way to propose to his girlfriend Erika Ramos by creating an original children’s book. The couple lives in Southern Pines, North Carolina, and wanted something the two could remember for the rest of their beautiful lives together. He wrote a children’s book called “A Tall Tale” and enlisted illustrator Yoni Limor. The book tells the story of a giraffe and a gorilla which parallels their own love story. Paul placed it in the children’s section at their library and lured her to the section under the premise that he needed to return some books that were due that day. He then picked up the book and asked her to read it for him, since the duo often picked out books for their nieces and nephews. As she finished the book, Paul dropped to his knees and asked for Erika’s hand in marriage which she gladly accepted.
