On January 10, 2017, President Obama stood in front of thousands of supports in Chicago as he provided his farewell address. The man who managed to avoid any type of major personal controversy for eight years in office was tearful as he called for hope, compassion, and forward-thinking in the years to come. His supporters were shaken by President Trump’s sudden rise to power but Obama focused on making America truly great again through a message of unity and hope. His genuine love of America shined through as he delivered his final address to the people he served for nearly a decade.
