The spot is an advert for German supermarket chain Edeka (English subs), which, like most great commercials, has very little to do with the actual product or service being advertised.The video has been viewed more than 43 million times and users have admitted to openly crying in public while watching the commercial on their smartphones and tablets.

The narrative revolves around a grandfather whose family is always too busy to see him during the holidays.
