In mid-2013 a little girl named Hazel Hammserley was battling stage three cancer at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. During one of her most aggressive cancer treatments, she wrote a message on her hospital room window.
Hoping to cheer herself up the little girl wrote “Send Pizza Room 4112” on the window. While she was just hoping for a single pizza to cheer herself up, what happened next gives us more hope for humanities future.
So many pizza’s showed up in the young girls room that her mother had to beg people to stop sending food.
So how did the message go viral? No surprise here, it was a group of Reddit users who picked up the little girls request and took action.
