This Bradentown Beach-based non-profit is the largest rescue center in all of Manatee County, Florida. While it mainly focuses on birds, it’s treated over 4,000 birds, mammals and reptiles each year since it opened in 1980.
This rescue center has a focus on releasing animals back into the while. In fact, they usually release every animal they help as long as it’s safe to do so (including the cute bald eagle they saved in 2013). For other animals, like those that aren’t native to Florida, are permanently injured or too domesticated, the company has a partnership with Mixon Fruit Farms where visitors can tour (and even pet) some of the animals.
