Meet Komari, the rescued kitten who thinks she’s really a ferret, thanks to her six older brothers. According to Reddit user MichaelMankus, Komari was found on the streets by her rescuers when she was just five weeks old. The tiny tabby was sick, starving, and scared.
Feeling like they had to do something to help her, the tiny kitten’s rescuers took her home, nursed her back to health, and introduced her to their other family members — six fully grown male ferrets.
As with any sibling introductions, the six ferrets may have felt slighted by their new little sister. However, they didn’t show it. The brothers quickly adopted Kamari as their own, protecting her and helping their owners care for her.
Komari and her brothers did everything together, from cuddling together and taking naps together to eating in a line with their own little bowls.
Today Komari is all grown up, but thanks to her brothers, she still thinks she’s a ferret. Even though the tabby cat is larger than the ferrets, she still cuddles, plays with, and protects her siblings. And, like any true older brothers, the ferrets still protect her.
Having gone from a starving kitten on the streets, Komari is now surrounded by all the love she could ever need.
