Ikea’s marketing department has teamed up with Home For Hope to sell furniture and make sure homeless pets find a forever home. The two organizations have found a genius way to show buyers what their home would look like if they also saved an abandoned animal.
Photographers started by taking photos of real shelter animals.
The photos are turned into cardboard cutouts of the animals.
The shelter pets are then placed all throughout the store. They are placed on floors, couches, beds, and other pieces of furniture.
Each cardboard cut-out features a barcode which shoppers can scan to learn more about each dog or cat. If they love one of the animals they can choose to adopt them.
