In May, D’Angelo McDade traveled to Chicago to lead a group of students marching to protest gun laws. At the event, he wore a piece of tape over his mouth that said, “We matter!” He was joined by several other Peace Warriors North Lawndale High School.

The existence of the Peace Warriors is proof that gun violence doesn’t need to happen at your school to affect you personally. The Warriors have a list of hundreds of student affected who they are reaching out to for support and understanding.
