Alex King has traveled from Chicago to California to continue spreading his message. Speaking at the University of Southern California, he said, “I have to do this [activism work] because a life lost is a life lost. I know the type of person I am—if I get on board, I can get a lot more people on board.”
King is a member of the Peace Warriors, a group of students from North Lawndale High School in Chicago who have joined with March for our Lives. Their slogan is “we matter,” and they prove that the work Parkland survivors have done since their March rally is creating a much larger movement.
