There’s nothing worse than ignorant people who meddle in matters they don’t understand.
A female customer at Ankar’s Hoagies in Tennessee recently filed a complaint with the health inspector because they saw a person with down syndrome in the kitchen. That person, it turns out, was also the owner of the establishment.
The restaurant owner’s loving brother decided to show his support with a touching post on Facebook — and it has gone viral.
The report states, “There was an unauthorized person in the kitchen that shouldn’t be around the food prep area.”
The food inspector found nothing wrong with the kitchen or any other part of the restaurant for that matter.
The man for whom the woman was referring to is Andrew Ankar, who has been working at the restaurant since he graduated high school in 2013.
Here’s the message Alex Ankar posted on Facebook:

Alex talks about how loving a person his brother is before commenting, “It makes my blood boil that there are people in this world who don’t have an ounce of kindness in their heart to appreciate what an amazing person [Andrew] is,” he wrote.
“The fact that there are people out there in this world that view people with disabilities as sub-human disgusts me,” the older brother added.

Alex also admires “Andrew’s ability to love everyone” and says, “he knows no hate.”
Finally, Alex asks that everyone love each other, rather than hold on to hatred and discrimination.

“Whether it’s ability, race, sexual orientation, religion, whatever – try to put your differences aside and love one another,” he wrote. “Trust me, the world would be a much better place if everyone had Andrew’s ability. He’s not the disabled one, we are.”
