Ohio State University student Annalisa Hartlaub wanted to find out what she would look like if she wore fashion trends dating back to the 1920s. Her project, posted to Flickr and Tumblr, is both eye opening and inventive.
The photos from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, are all available in black and white, and feature not only clothing, but also hairstyles of the times.
From prim and proper to 1990s grunge, the project really defines how we look based on the time in which we were raised.
Speaking to the Huffington Post the young sixteen-year-old artist says, “I’ve always been fascinated, and a bit infatuated, with counterculture and how it shapes society and mainstream culture as well. So I decided to mix that interest with my love of fashion, makeup, and photography to create something.”
