When Leon Logothetis takes to the streets to interview people he has the ability to change their lives.
The TV host is adored by his fans for a project tour called #GoBeKind. He seeks out good samaritans, learns their story and generously leaves them with $1,000.
In a recent episode of his show, Logothetis met James, a father who moved from New York to Denver in hopes of making a better life for his son.
“The reason I made this move is for him to be in a peaceful place, And I want him to experience things that I missed growing up,” James told Leon.
Unfortunately not everything has worked out perfectly for the man and his son since the move. He has a job in the works, but the apartment he was hoping to secure fell through, leaving the man and his young son homeless.
James says that the only thing keeping him emotionally afloat are his son, meditation and prayer.
“You have to be brought down to your humblest point so you can appreciate other things that are waiting for you.”
Leon was so touched by this selfless father’s story that he left him with $1000 and setup a GoFundMe page in James’ honor.
Apparently the young father’s story really touched a nerve because the page raised $14,000 in just 24 hours.
In just four days, the GoFundMe page is now up to $32,107 from 1,058 charitable people.
