Moana
Moana was only released in 2016 but is already a favorite amongst the Disney community. The animated film is part musical, part fantasy-adventure, following the strong-willed daughter of a chief of a Polynesian village. Moana is chosen by the ocean itself to bring together a goddess and mystical relic.
One of the greatest things about Moana might just be the soundtrack. Released by Walt Disney Records in late 2016, the album features songs by Manuel Miranda, Mark Mancina, and Opetaia Foa’i. The album was so well received, it even topped the Billboard 200 chart at the #2 spot!
