Pete’s Dragon
Between popular movies like How To Train Your Dragon and HBO’s cult series Game of Throne, the dragon trend is real. But luckily, if you can’t find your copy of How to Train Your Dragon or don’t have a subscription to HBO, you can always turn on Netflix and get your dragon fix with Pete’s Dragon.
Pete’s Dragon follows the adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete, whose best friend just happens to be a fire-breathing dragon. The film, which is a remake of the 1977 film of the same name, scored an 87 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with reviewers saying the remake gives the original a “visual overhaul without overwhelming its sweet, soulful charm.”
