Mulan
While all of the Disney princesses are role models, Mulan is more than just another Disney princess. She’s resourceful, selfless, determined, and a total feminist hero.
Mulan takes place during the Han dynasty and follows Mulan as she impersonates a man in order to take her father’s place to counter a Hun invasion. The artistic supervisors for the film were sent to China for artistic and cultural inspiration, so not only is the film beautiful, but it’s pretty accurate too. Oh, not to mention, it has arguably one of the best soundtracks of them all.
