Police officers from the NYPD’s 110th precinct recently rescued a Pit Bull that was stuck in the middle of a busy highway. Melissa Mezzoiuso and George Morinia-Blocker received a call about a supposedly vicious pit bull on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens. When they arrived on the scene and parked their squad car to stop traffic, they immediately realized that the dog was not violent, but rather injured and scared. They helped remove the dog from traffic, and brought them to a nearby ASPCA center in Queens.
1. The Officers stopped their vehicle and stepped out into traffic to rescue the pup.
2. The Dog was taken to the ASPCA in Queens
3. He was treated for a broken leg and his police rescuers visited with him.
4. The dog was nervous, but happy to be out of traffic.
5. Obviously his police officer rescuers are dog lovers.
6. Eventually he calmed down and received the help he desperately needed.
7. As for the “vicious” comments made by callers. Does this Pit Bull look vicious to you?
How could someone not want to help this adorable puppy.
