If you are Jewish, a fan of Taylor Swift, or just a lover of parodies in general, you have to check out the Chanukah version of the hit single “Shake It Off.”
The men of Six13Sings have created a parody video called “Chanukah (Shake It Off”). The song uses the beat and melodies of “Shake It Off” to celebrate the Jewish tradition of Hannukah and it’s eight nights of celebration.
On their YouTube page the group writes:
“CHAG SAMEACH! Life got you down? You should be thinking about the miracle of light. Just shake it off… it’s Chanukah!”
As you can probably guess by the name of the song, the men are all part of the Jewish a cappella group Six13.
Even if you don’t celebrate the Festival of Lights, you can probably appreciate the clever lyrics and the fun vibe this Taylor Swift parody delivers to the masses.
The Chanukah (Shake It Off) parody was uploaded to YouTube on December 11 and has already reached over 421,000 viewers. At the time of this post 1,278 people have up voted the parody.
