Oreo the cat has become a celebrity at St. Augustine Health Ministries after she showed up at the facility and refused to leave.
The friendly stray decided that the retirement center was a great place to live and she made it her very own.
Every day, Oreo would hang around outside and sit with residents who were waiting for rides. Eventually, she mustered up the courage to wander into the home.
One day the receptionist found Oreo had taken her job at the home’s front desk.
“She’s like the family here. She helps the residents, she helps the employees, and we just love her,” the receptionist explains.
“Most of the people we serve here had pets… so to have Oreo here, to be able to come out and pet the cat…”
It’s obvious on first look that Oreo brings the residents plenty of joy.
“I think [Oreo] just brings a lot of laughter, a lot of smiles, and a lot of just normalcy.”
The internet is powered by cats and it’s no wonder, just look at all the love this one cat has brought to so many people in a single location.
Oreo has racked up more than 162,000 views on YouTube and her fan base is growing every day!
