Brenda told People, “We cut out sugar and started eating more vegetables — raw vegetables in salads and roasted vegetables. Whenever I could, I would take out a starch.” They used My Fitness Pal on their phones to keep track of their diet, in addition to creating fitness accounts on Instagram to get in touch with a community that supported them during their weight loss journey. In a little over a year, the couple has lost more than 200 pounds combined! “I love being able to do whatever I want physically, to be able to challenge myself and know that I will be able to do it and get better every single day,” Brenda says.
