Shaholly Ayres has what’s called congenital amputation, meaning that she was born without one of her limbs. Growing up, people were always setting limits for her whether it was playing at recess, sports in high school, or modeling. After being told she would never be able to model for an agency, she decided to start modeling on her own. It turns out that it worked.
She made her portfolio on her own and started modeling for local boutiques. She went on to participate in six seasons of New York Fashion Week, has modeled for Art Hearts Foundation and even Nordstrom. Her goal is to work as a brand ambassador for Global Disability Inclusion to help other people with disabilities achieve their goals as she has.
