Alex Minsky Didn’t Let This One Curveball Stop Him

Alex Minsky has been a high school dropout, hardcore Marine, war amputee, a raging alcoholic and a gay model, although he’s not gay. After joining the Marines when he was 18, Alex was the epitome of the ideal Marine. On tour in Afghanistan, Alex drove over an IED which almost killed him and took his right leg.
He began to use alcohol to cope and spiraled out of control after his brother’s death. He eventually got clean and replaced alcohol with exercise, which led him to fashion photographer Tom Cullis. Minksy then began modeling his body and a prosthetic leg for gay magazines which the audience couldn’t get enough of. Minksy now has an incredibly successful modeling career.
