Heather Mills Let Her Situation Lead Her To New Opportunities

Heather Mills is an English model, activist, and businesswoman. She gained public attention in 1993 when she had an accident with a police motorcycle. Unfortunately, she had to have her left leg amputated below her knee. She continued her modeling career, showing off her prosthetic, in hopes of inspiring others who are in a similar situation and to help redefine what beauty means.
In 2002, she married Paul McCartney and gave birth to their daughter in 2003. After her divorce with McCartney, she became a spokeswoman for the Vegetarian’s International Voice For Animals and is vice president of the Limbless Association. She’s also an avid skier.
