British artist Alex Chinneck’s has created an installation that literally looks like a giant floating building. Titled, “Take My Lightning But Don’t Steal My Thunder,” the building takes up a 40-foot-long section of the historic, 184-year-old Convent Garden Market Building in London.
The building appears to be cut horizontally, while levitating more than 10 feet over it’s lower detached area.
Check out some amazing photos from the building and then watch the video of its construction four-day long constructions at the bottom of this post.
Can you figure out how the illusion was created before the secret is revealed?
The Take My Lightning But Don’t Steal My Thunder exhibit will remain on display at Convent Garden’s Piazza through October 24th, 2014.
