Rebecca Pizzello brought Bubba the pit bull home with her six years ago when he was just three months old. She expected to have a sweet dog to spend time with and play with. What she didn’t expect was a dog that absolutely loves cats. Pizzello was initially worried about bringing Bubba home because her roommate was caring for a litter of kittens.

Despite his positive reaction, Pizzello wasn’t ready for another animal, so she promised Bubba that one day when the time was right, she would get a cat companion for him.
Finally, the pair moved to New York City and Pizzello brought home Rue, a ginger kitten.
While Pizzello was initially worried that Bubba may not take well to Rue, the two were cuddled up together within a few hours of meeting.
Pizzello told Bored Panda, “I think Rue thinks Bubba is her mom and Bubba loves it.”
Not only do the two nap together, they also eat together and Bubba grooms his new kitten regularly.
While cats and dogs don’t always get along, it appears that Bubba and Rue are the exception. Pizzello noted, “They will definitely be a fun duo to watch grow up together.”
