Chloe Bridgewater of Hereford, England is only 7-years-old but she already has her eyes set on a cushy job at Google.
Chloe recently asked her father, Alex, where the perfect place to work would be. He took a moment to think about his answer and then responded, “Google.” He told his daughter about the companies beanbag chairs slides, and state-of-the-art work.
Chloe liked what she heard and started working on a letter to send to Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai.
She’s still young but already has decent grammar and a “take the world by the horns” attitude.
Here’s what she wrote:
“Dear google boss,
My name is Chloe and when I am bigger I would like a job with google. I also want to work in a chocolate factory and do swimming in the olympics. I go swimming on Saturday and on Tuesday. My dad said I can sit on bean bags and go down slides and ride go karts in a job in google…”
The 7-yr-old further described her love of robots, computers and video games.
She may already be ahead of the competition given she wrote a cover letter which many job applicants ignore.
Here’s her letter — note the legible handwriting this 7-year-old already offers.
A short time after the letter was sent she received a response from Google CEO Sundar Pinchai.
Here’s a transcript of the Google boss’ response:
Dear Chloe,
Thank you so much for your letter. I’m glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to – from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! (:
All the best to your and your family,
Sincerely, Sundar Pichai
Google receives 100,000 job applicants per week but young Chloe already has a leg up on the competition — a personal response from the company’s CEO.
