This Cat Fought Off A Vicious Dog To Save A 4-Year-Old Boy
Tara “the hero” cat went viral when she ran to the rescue of a 4-year-old California boy named Jeremy Triantafilo.
The young man was playing outside of his home when he was attacked by a neighborhood dog.
A surveillance video captured the attack and it has been viewed nearly 26 million times since being published on May 14, 2014.
The video was so popular that the Triantafilo family appeared on TODAY to talk about how Jeremy is recovering from his injuries.
“For the cat-loving world, this was our Lassie moment,” cat behaviorist and host of Animal Planet’s “My Cat from Hell” Jackson Galaxy told TODAY.com. “It gives an opportunity to reexamine what cats are.”
This boy may have very well died if his family cat didn’t jump into action so quickly.
