Nearly 20 years ago Vicki Brannon’s son Matthew passed away. Following his death Jennifer Lentini was given a new lease on life when she received a heart transplant from the young man. Jennifer had been struggling with heart disease throughout her teen years and she was in desperate need of the transplant. Twenty years later and the two women met for the first time this week at Tampa International Airport.
The emotionAL meeting included Lentini calling Brannon’s son her ‘Guardian Angel.’
Vicki placed her ear against Lentini’s chest and for the first time in 20 years she heard her son’s former heart beating.
Jennifer is now living a very healthy life thanks to Matthew’s gift and the two women are forever connected.
